Meta Platforms data handling
Hunt Local publishes content to our own Instagram and Facebook accounts through the Meta Graph API. In connection with that:
-
What we collect from Meta: public posts, public comments, and engagement metrics (likes, reach, impressions, saves, shares) on content published by our own Hunt Local Instagram and Facebook accounts. Profile metadata for the Hunt Local accounts.
-
What we do NOT collect: private direct messages (DMs) outside the scope we have been granted, data from any account other than our own Hunt Local pages, personal data about users who have not publicly interacted with our content.
-
How we use it: to measure post performance, inform future creative decisions, and answer public comments. We do not use Meta data for third-party advertising targeting beyond our own campaigns on Meta's platforms.
-
Retention: engagement data pulled from the Meta Graph API is retained for up to 90 days and then deleted from our systems.
-
Deletion requests: Meta users who want any data Hunt Local has captured about their public interaction with our Instagram or Facebook content removed from our systems can follow the process at shophuntlocal.com/pages/data-deletion.
Google API data handling
Hunt Local uses Google API services internally to monitor business performance, track search engine visibility, manage business intelligence spreadsheets, and retrieve creative assets. These integrations are internal business tools operated exclusively by the owner of Hunt Local LLC (a single authorized user). No external users access these tools, and no customer or end-user Google data is collected through them.
Google services we access:
-
Google Ads API — We read advertising performance metrics (impressions, clicks, cost, conversions, keyword data) from our own Google Ads account. This data is used internally to monitor ad spend efficiency and inform marketing decisions. We do not modify campaigns, budgets, or bids through the API. No customer personal data is retrieved from Google Ads.
-
Google Search Console API — We read search analytics data (keyword rankings, impressions, clicks, indexing status) for our own domain (shophuntlocal.com). This data is used internally to monitor SEO performance and identify content opportunities. No personal data about Google Search users is collected.
-
Google Sheets API — We read from and write to spreadsheets in our own Google Drive account for business intelligence tracking related to a separate business line (short-term rental property management). These spreadsheets contain no Hunt Local customer data and no Google user data.
-
Google Drive API (read-only) — We read creative assets (images, design files) from our own Google Drive folders for use in social media content production. No personal data is accessed; only business-owned creative files are retrieved.
How Google API data is stored and used:
- All data retrieved through Google APIs is stored locally on a single secure machine owned and operated by the Hunt Local LLC owner.
- Google API data is used exclusively for internal business analysis and is never shared with, sold to, or accessible by any third party.
- No Google user data is combined with personal information collected from Hunt Local customers or site visitors.
- Google API performance data (ad metrics, search analytics) is retained for up to 12 months for trend analysis and then deleted from local storage.
Revoking access: The authorized user can revoke Hunt Local's access to Google API services at any time by visiting https://myaccount.google.com/permissions and removing the "Hunt Local Ads" application. Revoking access immediately stops all data retrieval from Google APIs.
Google API Services User Data Policy compliance
Hunt Local's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:
- We only use Google API data for the internal business purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
- We do not transfer Google API data to third parties, except as necessary to provide or improve our internal tools, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale with notice to the user.
- We do not use Google API data for serving advertisements.
- We do not allow humans to read Google API data except as needed for security purposes, to comply with applicable law, or for internal operations limited to the single authorized user.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email us at support@shophuntlocal.com.

Meta Graph API engagement data is retained for up to 90 days. Google API performance data (advertising metrics, search analytics) is retained for up to 12 months for trend analysis and then deleted from local storage.
