Data Deletion Instructions

Hunt Local LLC, operating as Hunt Local Custom Art ("Hunt Local," "we," "us") respects your right to request deletion of personal data we hold about you. This page explains exactly how to submit a deletion request.

What you can request to delete

  • Customer account and order records (subject to tax and accounting retention rules).
  • Marketing email subscription data.
  • Reference photos you previously uploaded for a custom order.
  • Data Hunt Local has captured about your public interaction with our Instagram or Facebook content through the Meta Graph API — including public comments you left on Hunt Local posts, or engagement metrics tied to your public profile.

How to request deletion

Email support@shophuntlocal.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request". In the body of the email, include:

  1. Your full name.
  2. The email address tied to your Hunt Local account or order (if any).
  3. For Meta-related requests: your Instagram handle and/or Facebook profile URL, and a short description of the content you want removed (for example, "please delete any record of my comment on your Instagram post dated April 1, 2026").
  4. A statement confirming you are the owner of the account or the authorized agent of the owner.

What happens next

  1. We acknowledge your request within 5 business days.
  2. We verify your identity — typically by confirming the request came from the email address on file, or by asking a follow-up question tied to your order or public profile.
  3. We process the deletion within 30 days of verification and email you a confirmation once it is complete.
  4. Some records must be retained to comply with tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, or legal obligations. If any retained data cannot be deleted, we will tell you which category it falls under and why.

Meta-specific deletion workflow

If your request is specifically about data Hunt Local captured from the Meta Graph API (Instagram or Facebook public engagement with our own accounts), we will:

  • Remove the matching records from our internal analytics store within 30 days.
  • Confirm removal in writing via the same email thread.

Note: Hunt Local cannot delete content that lives on Meta's own platforms (for example, your own comment on a Facebook post) — that must be done through Instagram or Facebook directly. We can only remove our internal copy of that data.
